Evaluate a location-scale Student-t density whose sd argument is the actual standard deviation. This differs from the conventional Student-t scale used by RTMBdist::dt2(). For df > 2, the corresponding scale is sd * sqrt((df - 2) / df).

Usage

dstudent_t_sd(x, mu = 0, sd = 1, df, log = FALSE)

Arguments

x

A numeric or automatic-differentiation vector of values.

mu

The location parameter.

sd

The strictly positive standard deviation.

df

Degrees of freedom greater than two.

log

A logical indicating whether to return log densities.

Value

A vector of densities or log densities.
