Evaluate the support-gated hierarchical monotone-ODE structure used by the external all-QMA growth analysis and by decamod when data$growth_model = 5. The 19 coordinates contain ten sex-specific baseline logits (five per sex), followed by log(B50), adult tilt, low-size tilt, and log(sigma60) for males, the same four coordinates for females, and a final log(Gobs).

Usage

get_growth_increment_ode(
  midpoint,
  tau = 1,
  growth_group = 1L,
  growth_ode_coordinate,
  growth_ode_knot = c(30, 40, 50, 65, 80, 100),
  growth_ode_width = 6,
  growth_ode_floor = 0.02,
  growth_ode_steps = 24L,
  growth_ode_adult_contrast = c(0, 0, 0, -1, 0, 1),
  growth_ode_low_contrast = c(1, 0, -1, 0, 0, 0)
)

Arguments

midpoint

Release lengths or assessment-bin midpoints (mm).

tau

Elapsed time in years; either a scalar or the same length as midpoint.

growth_group

Growth group to evaluate: 1 for male and 2 for female under the assessment convention.

growth_ode_coordinate

Numeric vector of 19 ODE coordinates.

growth_ode_knot

Six increasing drift-basis knot locations (mm).

growth_ode_width

Positive logistic-basis width (mm).

growth_ode_floor

Positive lower floor for the drift shape.

growth_ode_steps

Positive integer number of RK4 integration steps.

growth_ode_adult_contrast

Six adult-shape contrast coefficients.

growth_ode_low_contrast

Six low-size-shape contrast coefficients.

Value

A list containing expected increment gi, final length final_length, normalized baseline weight, and the natural-scale sigma60 and gobs coordinates used elsewhere by the assessment.

Details

This function evaluates the deterministic mean only. Process diffusion and recapture measurement error are attached separately by get_growth_increment_fixed().
