Round tag liberty intervals to a regular time grid and represent each release length by linear weights on adjacent model length states. The same continuous-time generator can then be propagated by repeated multiplication for the tag likelihood and exponentiated for the population transition.

Usage

prepare_growth_transition_data(data, time_step = 1/12, latent_midpoint = NULL)

Arguments

data

A decamod data list containing midpoint_l, gi_L1, and gi_liberty.

time_step

Width of the tag time grid in years; one month by default.

latent_midpoint

Optional internal latent length grid. It must be strictly increasing and span every assessment midpoint and tag release length. Population transitions are aggregated back to data$midpoint_l.

Value

The input data list with growth_tag_time_step, growth_tag_time_index, growth_tag_time_error, and growth_tag_initial added, together with internal-grid population mapping matrices.
